StoryBoards & Brand Guidelines
With the Byton car so early in it's conception we were guided by their storyboards and brand book.
This was pieced together from the storyboards to get a better idea of timing.
Select pages from the brand book which we used for inspiration.
Created Moodboard & Reviewed Brand's Inspiration
To help guide the Byton team toward alignment on color and concept direction we presented a moodboard for inspiration.
Defining Color Palettes for Car UI
To ensure the project was iterative we explored color palettes and shared with the Byton team before moving onto designs.
There was a great deal of debate about the interface color and while our team pushed for blue hues, the Byton team pushed for copper to align with brand.
Determining In-Car User Interface
Developing interfaces screens which meet the balance of on-screen readability and believable user experiences.

Developing Connected Device Interactions
Due to challenges with production where motion videos would be played on-camera and shot live with the actors, drove interactions and user interface that stayed true to the native operating system for devices.
While these native apps were still in concept we knew of a partnership with Huawei for phone and watch integration, and addressed UX for Android OS.
Current Experience
The brand evolved since working-on this Byton project but our early user experience remains part of the car's main selling points.
SIDE NOTE: The blue hues our team pushed for ended up in the car eventually. While we were not involved at that time there is some reward in that. :)
